Stay Healthy with Preventive Care

Preventive care today will help you avoid health problems—and medical expenses—down the road. Sure, you’re busy, but this investment in time will pay off in so many ways.

Preventive care is a good way to catch a medical condition in its earliest stages when it’s most treatable. And annual screenings help your doctor create a baseline measurement of your health when you’re healthy that can help diagnose a condition later on.

You Get the Care, We’ll Pay for It!

Dominion Energy pays 100% of preventive care services received from a network provider. This includes these services for you and your covered family members age 7 and older:

  • Annual checkup office visit
  • Annual gynecological exam and Pap test
  • Annual prostate exam and PSA test for men
  • Annual mammogram for women*
  • Annual colorectal cancer screening*
  • Routine tests and lab and X-ray services associated with an annual checkup, gynecological or prostate exam

* The plan pays 100% for one mammogram and colorectal screening each calendar year, even if your doctor determines there is a medical condition.

To confirm that a particular service is covered under the plan’s preventive care program, call Anthem Customer Service at 1-800-348-1966.

Make It a Family Affair

Preventive care and wellness visits are important for both children and adults. Children typically need physicals before the start of the school year and sports seasons. But, don’t forget about immunizations and semi-annual dental and annual vision exams. And of course, everyone needs a seasonal flu shot every year!
